Max Rosen is the president and founder of Indigo Productions, one of New York City’s leading video production companies. After graduating from Columbia University in 1984, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in History and Art History, Max broke into television working on “Broadway Magazine,” a critically-acclaimed weekly half hour show about the Broadway theater.  From there he went on to work at MTV, where he produced numerous features and promos.

Max worked as Senior Producer at Stodden & Smith Productions for 2 years prior to launching his own company, Indigo Productions, in 1991.

Indigo Productions is a one-stop creative resource for a wide variety of Fortune 500 companies, ad agencies, nonprofits and other organizations, and has built a prodigious client roster that includes many of the best-known brands in the world.

Max has directed, produced, and overseen the creation of hundreds of films, documentaries and other high-end productions for prestigious organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution, the Museum of Natural History, Viacom, Harvard, IBM, Canon, Everlast, L’Oreal, Timex, Estée Lauder, AIG, Ann Taylor, the ASPCA, BNY Mellon, Cambridge University, Chemical Bank, Ralph Lauren, Redken, Revlon, Rolling Stone, Scholastic, and many more.  Many of his films have won major industry awards.

In line with Max’s strong commitment to education, Indigo has formed close bonds with over a dozen educational clients and institutions, including Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Oxford, the City University of New York, Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, Cornell, University of Maryland, McGraw Hill Education, Scholastic Publishing, Prentice Hall Publishing, Holt McDougal Educational Publishing, The Conference Board, Planned Parenthood, Macroeconomic Advisers, the American Management Association, and the Smithsonian Institution.

In 2009, Indigo Productions began teaching a viral video workshop at NYU.  In conjunction with this class Indigo produced the smash hit spoof video “JK Divorce Entrance Dance” which received international press coverage including a story by CNN.  The video has been seen by over 30 million people worldwide, with over 11 million views on YouTube alone.  It was named “#1 Comedy Video of the Year” by Yahoo Video and was featured on the first page of CollegeHumor, Break, Mashable, Digg, AOL, and thousands of websites in every language in virtually every country around the world.
